What Watagumo creates is an AI character generated from the conversation history you exported yourself, or from text you entered yourself. It is not the real person, and it does not represent that person's thoughts, feelings, or intentions. The chat screen always indicates that you are talking with an AI.

As this is an independently developed app, replies may take some time. Requests for disclosure under the Commercial Transactions Act are handled as described in Commercial Transactions Act Disclosure, generally within 3 business days of receipt.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of app is Watagumo?

Watagumo is an iOS app that creates an AI character reflecting a person's way of speaking, based on conversation history you exported yourself from LINE, WhatsApp, KakaoTalk, or similar services, or on text you enter yourself, and lets you talk with that character. The original conversation history file is processed on your device and is never sent to or stored on our servers. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

Am I talking to the real person?

No. The AI that is created is a character generated from the conversation records or entered content, and is not the actual specific person. What the AI says does not represent the intentions, statements, or views of any real person, and may include content that differs from fact.

I want to delete my data

You can delete your data yourself at any time from within the app. From "Settings" → "Data Management," you can choose to delete an individual AI, delete all data, or delete your account. Deletion is processed after your request is received, and the app will not show "Deleted" until completion has been confirmed. If you are unable to operate the app, for example because you cannot launch it, please contact us through the Contact / Data Deletion page. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

I want to cancel my subscription

Subscriptions are provided through the Apple App Store. To cancel, go to iOS "Settings" → your Apple ID → "Subscriptions." Subscriptions cannot be cancelled from within the app. Please note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

What languages are supported?

Watagumo supports 5 languages: Japanese / English / Korean / Traditional Chinese / Simplified Chinese.

Are there ads?

No ads are shown. The content of your conversations is never used for ad targeting.
