As this is an independently developed app run by a single person, replies may take some time. For requests for disclosure under the Commercial Transactions Act (disclosure of address and phone number), we aim to respond by email within 3 business days of receipt (excluding weekends and public holidays).

How to delete your data

With Watagumo, you can delete your data yourself at any time from within the app. There is no need to wait for a request by email.

What you can do from "Settings" → "Data Management" in the app

Deletion is processed after your request is received. Once we have confirmed that nothing subject to deletion remains, the app will show "Deleted." While processing is underway, the app shows "Deleting…"

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription. To cancel, go to iOS "Settings" → your Apple ID → "Subscriptions" separately.

If you are unable to launch the app

If you are unable to launch or operate the app, for example because you have lost your device, please contact us at the email address above. We will respond to deletion requests to the extent we are able to confirm the request is coming from the person concerned.

Requests from a conversation partner or bereaved family members

If someone other than you who appears in imported conversation history (including a conversation partner or bereaved family members) wishes to raise a request regarding how information about them is handled, please contact us at the same address (spw2jo2@gmail.com). For details on how such requests are handled, see Terms of Service, Article 9.

Disclosure and correction of data

If you wish to request disclosure, correction, or suspension of use of your own information that we hold, please also contact us at the address above. We will respond after confirming your identity. For details, see Privacy Policy, Section 8 (User Rights).
